Come and See

Come and See is a process for baptized Christians of other faiths to explore, consider and contemplate entry into the Catholic Church. This program builds upon the understanding of Christ which each person brings from their own faith tradition.  The unique beliefs of the Catholic faith are presented and discussed.  This parish program is called “Come and See” and normally runs for eight weeks beginning after the first of the year and concluding prior to Easter.  At the conclusion, each individual has the freedom to decide whether they want to move forward and make a profession of faith in the Catholic Church.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

RCIA is the ordinary process for non-baptized or unchurched individuals to find out about this person we call Jesus Christ, the church He founded, beliefs and teachings which have been carried down through the ages. RCIA team members along with parishioners or Catholic friends, assist in this faith formation journey.  Everyone is given a sponsor to talk to, ask questions of, and participate with on this faith seeking journey of unpacking the Catechism of the Catholic Church. RCIA runs from mid-September through April (depending on the date of Easter). At the conclusion, each individual has the freedom to decide whether they want to move forward to be baptized and receive the other sacraments of the Catholic Church.
