Eucharist
The sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is the source of our strength and the summit of our praise to God. The other sacraments, and other ministries and works of Catholic people, are given support and bound together by the Holy Eucharist.
As Jesus taught and the early Christian Church celebrated, the bread and wine are transformed during the Mass into Jesus Christ, body and blood, soul and divinity. Holy Communion unites us intimately with Jesus Christ, separates us from sin, and unites us with other members of the Catholic Church.

First Eucharist (2nd Grade and older students)
Preparing children to come to the table of the Lord for the first time is a significant moment in their lives and the life of the community. Normally, First Communion takes place after Easter each year.
All participants involved in sacramental preparation are expected to be members of the parish and must be registered in All Saints Catholic School, Faith Formation classes, or be taught at home with the guidance of the Faith Formation office. Please call the school at (402) 346-5757 or the parish office at (402) 934-7706 for registration information.
Adequate preparation supports the spiritual growth of the students. This preparation should make it clear that as they are nourished by the Eucharist, they are called to feed and serve others around them. Children must be baptized before beginning preparation for this sacrament. A copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate will be needed if not baptized at St. Frances Cabrini.
